The City of North Vancouver is located on the north shore of the Burrard Inlet. For those who choose to visit Downtown Vancouver, the SeaBus at the foot of Lonsdale provides a 15-minute commute to the heart of the city.

North Vancouver enjoys mild winters and warm summers. The mean daily temperature is 2.4 degrees Celsius in January, and 17.6 degrees Celsius in July. Average annual rainfall is 1,770.7mm. Snowfall can occur in the region, particularly at higher altitudes.
